The Search

Everynight before I go to sleep,

I pray to the deities above,

To bring to me what my lonely heart desires.

As I sleep within a darkness so deep,

I search endlessly for my love,

And I shall search 'til time expires.

And until then, my lonely heart I shall keep,

For everynight my soul soars the skies like a dove,

With hords of enormous night fliers.

Until I find my true love,

I shall never give up my search.

My Loneliness

Everynight before I sleep,

I look up at the vast night sky and I wish.

I wish for my lover to come to me,

So that I shall not be so lonely anymore.

For when I sleep alone in my bed at night,

I feel so scared that I shall not wake.

So before I close my eyes I say a prayer,

A prayer that I have said many times before.

It's a prayer that has been said by many lonely hearts,

And after I say the prayer,

I know I shall wake in the morning,

because my deities will not let me

die of a lonely heart.

Big Brother to Little Brother

Well little brother my life hasn't been a burning star,

for I have had challenges beyond compair.

I've sacrificed so much,

and yet I've gotten nothing back.

I've put my own life on hold for others,

but they never take notice.

I now wish that I hadn't put my life on hold,

but you can't change the past.

So I must go forth,

into the unknown.

And the one thing that keeps me going is you,

for you are my burning star.

Sight Beyond Sight

There within the meadow,

lying in the bright sun,

under the big light blue sky,

near a flowing river,

along a stoney path,

is a child with a pure heart,

who doesn't have a care in the world.

For the child has been lying there,

under that light blue sky,

among the meadow's flowers,

near the flowing river,

for hours now,

because this pure heart child,

has been sleeping and dreaming,

dreaming of a world beyond his own.

Whenever

Whenever you need me,

I'll be there.

Whenever you need help,

You can count on me.

Whenever you're down,

I'll be there to lift you up again.

Whenever you need a friend,

Come find me.

Whenever life seems unfair,

I'll be there to help you through all the way.

Protecting Him

Now our dreams are coming true,

As we stand by each other.

Through the dark times,

As well as the light ones.

I hold you in my arms,

protecting you with every breath I take.

I shall never let you out of my sight,

far from of losing you again.

From this day forth,

I promise to keep you safe.

To guard you with my very life,

and to never let harm come to you again.

For this I vow on my very life,

and this I shall keep true.

For you are my baby brother,

and you are my entire world.

My List

I sat alone the other day and thought,

I thought that I had nothing to live for anymore,

But the Goddess told me what I had to live for,

And this is what she told me:

You have your friends,

family,

health,

love,

Your poetry,

drawings,

Your determination,

courage,

creativity,

Your ability to CARE,

your dancing talent,

your love of nature's beauty,

And on top of everything,

My dear child,

You have your

LIFE!!!

Thank You For Being There

You were there for me,

in my greatest time of need.

You weren't the only one,

who aided me with caring.

I love you very much,

for I consider you family.

I consider every one who helped,

to be very close family.

You and everyone else,

will forever have a place in my heart.

And I truly am thankful,

for the caring and love you all showed me.

And so I say this with pure love,

thanks for being there.

Weathered Hands

Weathered hands of a worn torn man,

Weathered hands of an over worked husband.

Weathered hands of a bruised woman,

Weathered hands of an abused wife.

Weathered hands of a neglected son,

Weathered hands of a molested daughter.

Weathered hands come in all shapes and sizes,

Weathered hands belong to all types of people.

Weathered hands can affected all,

Including this poet.

CLEAR AIR

Onre good thing about the rain,

It clears the air.

Whenever you are in ttremedous pain,

The sun shine makes your heart go fair.

Good Advice

We all look at that great big sky,

and there are numerous things many of us can't see.

But the one thing see is,

a future so bright and full of compassion and pure heart.

What I'm wanting to say is this:

Never give up on a feeling so true as,

the one that you have been hurt by so many times.

If I can ever give you any good advice,

it would be this:

Never give up on love,

for it could be the one thing that sets you free,

from your darkness that you are trying to escape.
